What is a BLOG you ask - A blog (an abridgment of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
I got that definition from wikipedia.org - anothe site commonly used that would also make me a nerd. Wikipedia - is a free, multilingual, open content encyclopedia project operated by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Its name is a blend of the words wiki (a technology for creating collaborative websites) and encyclopedia. Launched in 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, it is the largest, fastest-growing and most popular general reference work currently available on the Internet.

So why ? Well It's the quickest easiest way to keep everyone up to date on the happenings of my children - photos etc. I mean - who uses a telephone anymore? Okay one more definition just to make this irritating!
